One chord competition
Alan has sent us the following Challenge. Make sure that you have your entries in by say 8pm next Monday.
One chord competition

Make a piece of music using just one chord. Fingerpick it, strum it, sustain it or skank it, break it up across two guitars or different instruments, invert it, play scales with the notes from it... whatever! Just try keep things interesting.

Choose your chord wisely 'cos you only get one!

Too evil? I thought it would be good to let people discover just how much you can do with one chord... Shine on guys... ?

Hahahaha, no, I thought my initial question was silly...but now Conrad has asked exactly the same thing... Thanks, Con.
It would be very interesting to limit it like that I think.

I am sure we can use all the notes in the scale???
You can use all the notes in the scale. but only a single chord. Imagine the power chord guys with only two notes to play with. ?
                    AWESOME TOPIC!!!

well done alan for a very original idea...

This sounds fun. I vote everyone has to say which chord and scale they used.

I thought covers aren't allowed? Even if it is Nirvana...
Wish I had my recording set up. I know the perfect chord ?
Very lekker Alan - I reckon I'll just have to find the time to give this one a go. 8)
Viccy, if I use the lost chord, will I still have to name it even though I can't find it?

Well it's very irresponsible to lose it in the first place.

I got a little confused with this actually, I was playing The Scale over The Chord, but that makes new chords. I get it now, the chord can be as complex as you want to make it, but then you stick to those notes only (I think).
