So the "gig" on Thursday started around 8pm.......a couple beers, ciders (for the non-beer drinkers), a helluva lot of guitars, two Marshall amps, two vocalists (trying to out-do the Marshalls without any mics), some "lap-drumming", one acoustic guitarist, an one audience......... ? ? ?

Couple of Strats, a Tele, PRS, Eli's Taylor, and .............TWO IBANII....(thanx Ray for educating me on the plural)............screeching into the night until well after midnight.......... now howzat for a "mini impropmtu" jam session...........

And yep guys, had avery "difficult" day today, but well worth the fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! :applause:

Thought I'd share a few pics of the event!!!

5. Brent showing us his acoustic skills on Eli's Taylor BB............apologies Brent, will get heavier gauge strings next time.......still, I was pleasantly impressed with what could be gotten out of the TBB............ ?

6. Brent in Blues mood with the Ibanez JS1000..........

7. Arjun and Stratisfear get into some serious Pink Floyd!!!!!...........

8. Arjun and the Tele......(was Andy Sumner/ Sting at this stage hey Arjun........?)

That Tele has incredible tone, action and it looks good as well.
I tried to sneak it home, but Stratisfear had to much equipment to carry ?
Hey, with those guitars, i couldn't help but be a happy chappy ?
Thanks to Aubs for hosting us, Stratisfear for the ride and Brent for the company.

Played (in no particular order) :

                      1. Ibanez JEM - It is a very versatile instrument, but very unforgiving at the same time. I have newfound respect for Mr. Vai.
                      2. Ibanez JS1000 - This guitar blew me away but i sorted of expected it from having owned one previously. The whole feedback & trem business was beautiful.
                      3. Fender Tele - I'm not one to be associated with Fenders but this guitar really floored me. Such character! Bravissimo!
                      4. PRS Standard 24 - Again, beautiful guitar and impossible to get a bad sound out of.
                      5. Tokai Loverock with P90s - Having never played an LP or a P90 equipped guitar, i wasn't sure what to expect. This guitar kills and the P90s have such balls. This guitar is the dogs bollocks!

Some moments from the night that were brilliant:

                      1. Brent's amazing acoustic chops.
                      2. Stratisfear's overall guitar playing. The guy has such feel.
                      3. Aubrey's kindness (you know what i'm talking about) and graciousness as a host.
                      4.Aubrey's gear! (Duh)
                      5. The impromptu Police/Sting/Led Zep cover tunes.
                      6. And Stratisfear's "Danger Zone" outro ?

What a blast. Pity i felt old the next morning.
