Greetings from Cape Town.

I've been playing on and off since 1988. Mostly classical guitar, rock and metal. Lately I have been more focused on progressive rock/metal, metal and trance. Main guitars: an Ibanez Jem77FP and two Ibanez J-Customs.

My primary mission is to get my recording skills and setup up to scratch!!

Kind Regards,

Z

There are lots of help on recording here ?

Cool! Sounds good. Shall I post some pics here or under the gear section?

P.S. Absolutely luv In Flames... (the Band... ;D )
Jip, post it under the Your Gear section.

It took me a long time to get used to "A Sense of Purpose"!
Once I listened to it a few times I started to love it more and more!

Thanks for helping with the images! You can check out my lady's under Gear: In Luv with Ibanez, if you wish.

I also had to get used to the album, but now I love it! The distortion is dialed down a lot which meant some acclimatizing to my ears. Nothing like the snare drum on st. Anger though, which I’ve never gotten my teeth into… :-\
Welcome on board, where you will never be bored unless you get caught up in the dodgy Ibanez dicussions ?

Thank you! Could you possibly define: dodgy Ibanez discussions? My momma told me not to get caught up in anything with a dodgy nature... ?
There is a very tongue in cheek thread called "Why I would rather gouge my eyes out than play an Ibanez"
Some good reading, but take it all with a pinch of salt.

I played my first Ibanez Electrics this weekend, A JS1000 and a JEM77. Both good guitars, but I enjoyed the playability of the JS. The bridge humbucker got some tasty distortion tones.

But a huge welcome dude, it's very addictive this forum ?

Have you no shame! On this forum I'd rather check out your ladies under the "Gear: In Luv with Ibanez".

                          Yours pedantically

                            Welcome to the forum,

Don't mind Bob, he is X-rated for a reason.... :?
Very welcome indeed. Do you have any music clips or songs? Would love to hear those in action.

I only have recordings with my JEM. Bad unmastered quality, though... The J-Customs are weeks old. No recordings of them, but they have tone like nothing I have heard especially when compared to other RG’s. I'm only playing the one, the other one is unplayed and in storage. I'll post some recordings as soon as my recording setup is up to scratch! Thanks for the interest! ?
Welcome to the forum mate........ I love them Ibani (like Ray would say, but cannot spell the plural...hahahahaha)........

The Jem you played, Squonk, is the JEM7V-WH, the 77 and 777 are slightly different models......... ? ?
