What do u ouens think of Brian May?
I think he's a legend!
Yes, one of the legends of rock. Heard an interesting interview recently about his solo on Buckingham Palace's roof. Check it out on his website.
Also great is Roger Taylor's solo albums - IMO also a great composer apart from his skills as a drummer.
I've often wondered what Queen would have been like and up to in 2008 was it not for the sad and untimely death of Freddie...
      Ja me 2.
Ill go check out that review...
I really like his sound, it about 30ms delay he uses on his amp to get that british royal sound.
Here's a picture of his rig:
Awesome tone, awesome player. I was seated 5m away from him when Queen came to Sun City. Major high point of my life (alongside meeting Steve Morse and seeing Jethro Tull).
            Whoa, damn! 5m!!!

Even though I'm only 16, I love Queen! I grew up with them, my mom always played it around the house alongside other great bands!
Yep, my first tape (yep, tape ?) was a Queen tape a friend did for me with all their greatest hits on it. Biggest favour anyone could've done for me as I reckon it was my first taste of REAL music. I listened to that thing about 24/7 for about 3 years and then only a LITTLE less after that ?
Of course, I also have major respect for anyone who makes a guitar completely from scratch (aside from pickups and tuning machines) from an old fireplace.

You folks know he was recently awarded his doctorate in astrophysics and is also the chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University?
I'm such a huge Brian May & Queen fan. Brian has such an amazing tone! Because of my love for Queen I've always had a Treble Booster on my pedalboard at all times (although I don't really play Queen covers). Great for lead work (in front of distortion) - so much more cut and definition than a clean boost.
Brian's also what put me onto VOX amps, and I'm glad he did!

BTW, anyone tried a VOX Brian May AC30? I played the one a Turnkey several times and it does really capture his tone very well, while deafening everyone within range with the most insanse amount of volume I've ever heard, Incl from full stacks. And that was on the 15W setting. I was and still am scared to try the 30W setting. I won't get the chance though 'cos they don't have it anymore. Apparently sold a couple of months ago.
You folks know he was recently awarded his doctorate in astrophysics and is also the chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University?
A friend recently mentioned the bit about the astrophysics doctorate, but I didn't know he's chancellor also...a busy and talented man! Just checked his website: the title of his doctorate, soon to be published as a book, is "A Survey of Radial Velocities in the Zodiacal Dust Cloud"....hmmm....would make a nice title for a concept album too!
