I handed in my guitar to a music store in jhb (a good reputable store tha I've always had favourable experiences with in the past).
I want a pickup replaced and the action checked.
I gave the guitar in on Tuesday, and was told it would take a few days.
I called in this morning to check if it was done and I was basically told that it still hadn't been looked at because they are very busy etc.
I explained that I would only be able to fetch it up until 12:30 today because after that I can't get time for a whole week (I'm an oral surgeon and quite booked out the whole of next week)
the then tells me I should speak to the owner if I don't like the situation!
So now i'm being made to feel as though I'm being unreasonable.
But I've given them four days and called everyday to query and remind them about my guitar.
My question is whether you guys think I'm being unreasonable?
Is it normal to get no timeframe from technicians?
Should I wait another whole week?
Should I go fetch my guitar and go elsewhere?
It's a PRS so I guess I am a bit limited in where I can take it but still, I'd actually be prepared to pay a bit more for the convenience and haste..
Any opinions?"
