It's a pity. I was hoping you'd nab it ? Would have been too difficult to arrange though I think, at a distance without you knowing if it was legit. This ad was never going to last more than a day.

If it was, as you say, legit and injury free, it must be the buy of the year no doubt.
That V in Jhb is also amost for free ... ?

It looked pretty decent in the pick. Gold was very worn, naturally, but it was hardly torn to pieces. Looked the part as I mentioned earlier. Nashville bridge and neck volute. Hard to tell from the pics but it looked about a 6.5-7/10.

AFAIK the V is not sold yet. This one (faded) is one of the cheaper V models and sells for around $900. These V 's should have the same tonal characterisitics of an SG and at R5500 ...? you will get your money back, and maybe a lot more.
I'm tempted... :-\ but have an upcoming wedding to pay for.... :?

I think even a mahogany V has a tighter sound than an SG cos it's thicker, no? Yeah. Faded Vs are pretty cheap. But getting one in SA for under R7000 is still amazing.

This one looks all mahogany right ? Sadly I'm not too clued up on V's like thickness, weight, etc.
The Korina ones (very very expensive) are reportedly the holy grail of V's

I agree! It looks like the amp is in excellent condition!! Put two celestion blues in this baby and it will blow you away!! ?

Im not all that clued up on these things so not sure if the CC is a cheaper version or not, but AC30 at R5500 seems like a good deal...

Good amps....if this one has the blue alnico speaker, it's fine. However if it has a standard Warfdale, then I would not be bothered.

CC1 - Previous gen with warfdale
CC1X - Previous gen with alnico blue (sounds great actually)

It's showing signs of wear, but that's still a really good price for this '70s Gibson that Santana used to endorse. I think Dimeola as well. A very different Gibson.

I can't believe what people are selling stuff for. But that SG custom for R6,500 the other day (R1,000 less than an Epiphone SG in this forum ???) takes the biscuit.
