I know we've discussed what everybody is listening etc etc, but i'd like a sneak peek into what everyone is reading these days.
This week,I'm on :
1. A lion's legacy - RJ Patterson (very nice book about lion conservation in northern kenya)
2. A player's guide to chords & harmony - Jim Aikin
3. Guitar Player (Al DiMeola on the cover)
4. Creative recording Vol.1 Effects & processors (Can't remember the author's name and slightly outdated book, but still a good read because it details various effects).

I love reading, just been struggling to find the time.. so weekends I read most
1. Acoustic Guitar Magazine November Edition arrived the weekend ? ? ?
2. Fortune magazine
3. How to paint your own guitar by John Gleneicki ? Not that I am going to, but find it fascinating!
Okay these are online, but I could print the stories if I wanted to ?
4. www.summit.co.za - Always reading there
5. Lots of guitar Forum stuff - going back through the archives ?
6. www.news24.co.za - headlines and interesting stories - the Modern Newspaper

1. The ABS Diet, for about 2 years now, hoping to get that 6 pack one day
2. The History of the Olympic Games - helping out my daughter with a class project.
3. Lots of Guitarists in the Loo
4. Generally always reading a Fiction book but playing more guitar these days

Small Gods - Terry Pratchett, for like the umpteenth time! I have all his books and inbetween new ones I re-read the old ones. Once you get Pratchettenitus, there is no cure I am afraid...
Bob-Dubery
I've just finished Rose George's The Big Neccessity which is about sanitation. Over 50% of people in the world do not have access to good sanitation. Prior to that I read a couple of Nevill Shutes - Slide Rule and A Town Like Alice.
Now I am re-reading Joe Boyd's White Bicycles

Finishing off the Diablo Archive and then probably going to read the Sin Wars trilogy again....Anyone know of other Fantasy based books that are good.? Swords, Dragons, Demons etc etc

The Rebel - Albert Camus
Mythologies - Roland Barthes (again)

There is the usual monthly Guitarist and Mens Health, and I'm also reading When Giants Walked The Earth about Led Zeppelin. Apart from that, I've been reading a crapload of legal documents... ? Yes, my life is that exciting...

I always seem to have a number of books on the go... so at the moment its:
Cujo by Stephen King (a couple pages to go)
Night Shift also by Stephen King (a collection of short stories - great that I can read a story in one sitting. My job involves lots of reading and writing so I cant relax with a book for a few hours - its too much like work)
A book on Cristiano Ronaldo
Broken Music, The Sting autobiography
And then the latest Q magazine
Oh, and just finished a very funny book, One Hit Wonderland, by a guy called Tony Hawks (not the skateboarder) who had a hit in 1988 with a dodgy song called Stutter Rap. Then someone challenges him to have a top 20 hit somewhere, anywhere in the world within a year. He tries everything from country to African influenced dance music - very entertaining stuff

Ayn Rand - The Fountainhead ? I am an architect ok.
Vick
Life of pie
And monster regemint - terry pratchet(how ever u spel that, haha)

You should definately read some David Eddings, I'm reading his first 2 series all over again, the Belgariad and the Melorian. I prefer these to good old Tolkien.
I've also just read the kite runner by Khaled Hosseini, awesome book!
Next on my list is the highly controversial satanic versus by Salman Rushdie.

I'm reading 1984. Quite heavy reading. After listening to some of Muse's new album, I get the feeling it's quite influenced by 1984, with mentions of Thought Police and Big Brother.
And for when I'm not reading 1984, I delve into some Harry Potter ?

Loved that book. Just finished Amy Tan's "Saving fish from drowning". Got a few lined up now, visited the library. "I put a spell on you" a biography of Nina Simone, and Bill Bryson's biography of Shakespeare.

For light entertainment I read anything that Jeremy Clarkson writes.
You either love him or you hate him.

My recent reading is embarrassingly one sided:
Basic Pickup Winding - Jason Lollar
The Mixing Engineers Handbook - Bobby Owsinski
The Art Of Recording - William Moylan
I'm also reading (or rather, wading through) a few theses:
The Acoustics And Psychoacoustics of the Guitar - Howard Wright
Computational Mechanics of the Classical Guitar - Rolf Bader
I have a book of sci-fi short stories on my nightstand, but am not getting anywhere with it - kinda sad for someone who used to read a fiction book a day.
