TJs is a perfect example. All those amateur hacks get up there with their limited edition Martins, their custom-order Larrivees, their Morgans, their Smoothtalkers... Every time an actual working musician shows up they're playing either something that's been battered beyond recognition or a Takamine.

I once saw Larry Amos at the Flea Market they used to have on the roof of Killarney Mall long years ago.
He was playing a very old Ibanez Strat copy with one of the tuners missing, I think the middle pickup was also missing.
He would proceed to tune up after about three songs with a pair of pliers.
