The Challenge 21/09/09
This is going to be a really fun one, and gonna give me time to play with some dynamics.
I like it.. ?
This time I'll start early. Gotta get one in for all me noobs again.
Excellent opportunity for the Taylor to shine....
Hey Andrew, time to update your avatar!!!! hahahah ?

Indeed - let's see some knees-up folk positions there, Drew.
The only thing i feel romantic about is murder right now ........ hmmmm time to bring a little goth to forum *points at alan* not that kind of little goth , stop drooling .
Time that I try something again, I should have some time over the next few days...which is just about how long it takes me to hammer out a simple one minute tune... :-[
Can I take part?
Well Alan and Norio are the rulers here, and Rene Avenant is in charge of the competition, but I'm sure they'll say of course you can!Can I take part?
anyone can ?Can I take part?
just go read the competition rules as guidelines.
have fun.
Ok so i am finished with my composition, i just need to record it and lay down some drums. ?
Lol, only after uploading did I see I named the file back to front. Hope its still acceptable ?.
My interpretation of romance was rather undecided at first. On the one hand I could make a classically inspired romance piece... then I remembered that it can be jazz, rock or R&B aswell... so I made one that fits the latter category. I initially aimed my melody to be held with the chord harmony... somehow the lead line flew elsewhere, hehe.
Anyway, hope its enjoyed...

Hey Evo,
You must send your link to 'Renesongs' via a PM. He accepts all the entries and then after the deadline posts them for us to start voting. You should also tell him if you are a beginner or advanced. ?

Link removed to prevent others from having an unfair advantage by being able to scope out the competition before they post theirs. ?

Alright this time I'm safe. I got something, it aint pretty but it makes sounds and things. Romantic? Depends who you are? Mwhuaahaha
OK, so my bit of romance is in...
mine is in, i had some fun playing with delay........U2 style, ha ha .
Interestingly enough Manfred, my first try was also delay ridden, but I decided that it didn't fit the brief properly and started from scratch with a solo guitar piece yesterday afternoon. I'm keeping the delayed piece to work on and expand into a complete piece that does it justice.Manfred Klose wrote: mine is in, i had some fun playing with delay........U2 style, ha ha .
If you're interested, I'll also post what I have of the delayed one so far... Rough, but there's a good germ of an idea there.
