It was great meeting everyone there, and now being able to put faces to the names. Typically Cape Town, everyone was super chilled and friendly.
I couldn't agree more. Special thanks to Graeme and Ursh for being such fantastic hosts, Alan for the music+philosophy conversation (and no dope in sight) ? and Matt for the crash course in amp biasing (my head's still spinning from it) ?
A few other things that i just thought i'd mention:
1. Graeme, i hope your leg's alright (saw you limping around the place) and i dig the tube tamer.
2. Riaan, you are one happy guy ? And thank you for allowing me to go nuts on your Godin (loved every second of it).
3. Alan, if you ever decide to go into custom guitars with a skinnier neck, please drop me a line. I loved playing your custom strat.
4. Rene, you are one super chilled out dude and i loved your playing (especially your use of the vibrato bar).
5. Cannon, you need to find the right vehicle for your voice and i don't need to tell you that you've got a voice.
6. Viccy, your brilliant guitar playing was only overshadowed by your incredible humility and it really was an honour to meet you.
7. Manfred, you are a CGP (Go check out the meaning of CGP according to Chet Atkins)
Like Guy said, there was lots more happening and i missed quite a bit of it. Thanks to everyone who made the evening memorable.
Looking forward to seeing the photos.
