OK... things are getting better on this side, it's not as bad as it looked at first. So I will be there.

You guys ARE making a video of all this, right?
FenderBender
Ok hopefully this map isn't too small.
X marks the spot people!

The young lady drummer, who lives less than a km from the venue (has kit), but is attending friends party on saturday.

Don't think she'd be too happy with us using her kit though...
Cannon can you pull one out the hat bru?
Riaan
I'll be there, I'm not planning on staying over but I guess that depends on how...tired I am towards the evening. Will bring: Guitar, Roland Blues Cube amp, guitar stand, cables. No pedals to use as I'm using Guitar Rig on a desktop, but could do without them, or I could bring the Zoom 505II now that I think about it. Also something to drink and braai.
Glad you can make it Alan!
PeteM
Enjoy your day guys - wish I could be there.

Please guys, take some videos of the jams and stuff!!!
Enjoy it! ?

Thanks Graeme, Ursh and everyone who was there, it was great! We should do this more often. It really was nice to meet everyone, and to chat and jam :goodtimes: !
Looking forward to seeing the pics!

I only got home at 01:00 this morning. ?
So it was lots of fun.
We had a pretty big attendance this time.
thanks ursh and greame for the event. ?

Yea thanks a lot everyone, specially Graeme and Ursh! It was awesome! next time I walk up to a mic I'll try to be sure that I know more than two verses! (an possibly start singing in the correct key)
matta
Yeah, thanks to Mr. G and Ursh, it was a great time... I must have said 'I need to go' more times than I care to remember before ACTUALLY leaving, LOL. Sorry I had to bail early, but it was great to see all of the regular faces and a few new ones as well.
Look forward to seeing some pics, sadly I couldn't find my digital camera so didn't take any myself ☹

Thanks Greame and Ursh for hosting the get together. Very kind of you and good to meet everyone!

It was great meeting everyone there, and now being able to put faces to the names. Typically Cape Town, everyone was super chilled and friendly.
I was blown away by:
Urch and Graeme - what a lovely couple. thanks so much for being such gracious hosts. You guys rock!
Rene's blues chops - He has to be the most underrated player on the forum.
Matta's Fuzzilla pedal - very cool sounds from super fuzzed-out to fat-n'-juicy overdrive.
Graeme's Tube Tamer - It's a beast and kept Manfred's Blues Jr under control the whole day and night!
Cannon's vocals - excellent tone and delivery (sweet amp too bro!)
Manfred's versatility - He literally plays anything, on a tele.
Alan's guitar - great looking and sounding instrument (Of course his endless knowledge was there too, which i took full advantage of with many questions and conversations).
Viccy's Classical chops - Like the weekly comps, Viccy kicked some major ass.
Riaan's Godin - It has an amazing deep tone that worked well together with Alan's brighter guitar during the jams. Riaan also never stopped smiling, he is one happy dude!
Harmonica player/s - I didn't get to see who played(I think matta was expaining amp biasing to me outside) but it all sounded amazing.
Laurence getting a ton of grooves going - on acoustic, Epi LP, whatever.
All the crazy drumming - Lots of people had a go, and it was great fun.
There was lots more that went down, more than i could write and more that i didn't see. Can't wait for the photos and vids.
The event also got me super amped for the Thursday jams at Corner Bar. ?
