Hi guys

I eventually got guitar rig 3 but only the software not the controller.
I am having problems using it as a plugin through cubase or wavelab. When i play using guitar rig as the stand alone application the sound works perfect, but when i connect it through cubase or wavelab there is no sound going in or coming out of the plugin, but my midi keyboard plays perfect through cubase and vst effects. I can play clean with out any effects and cubase will pickup the input signal, as soon as i connect it through the plugin there is no signal.

I am using a esi juli@ sound card and have cubase sx and wavelab 5
I'm not knowledgeable on Cubase, but do you see the level indicators in the GR plugin light up?

Otherwise do a search on Native Instruments forums for Cubase/GR issues and also on the Steinberg Cubase forums. If you're having the problem with two common pieces of software, chances are someone else has too.
      Hi

Don't know if this will work. Had a similar problem.

Click on the devices tab in Cubase and then select the device setup option. A new window should appear , uncheck the direct monitoring box. And check the plug-inn again. I does not work on my computer unless I do this ?
Hi Thanks for the replies. I got it to work.

I was adding a new fx channel instead of a audio channel and inserting the guitar rig plugin over the audio channel. but all is working now?
Ah, good to hear. So you were setting it up as a send effect, rather than an insert?
yea i was setting it up as a send
