I'm on a Tom Verlaine/Television Binge right now. That started just after I posted that
clip of Television's "Call Mr Lee". I got a hankering for that whole album, their 1992 reunion album just titled "Television" and I think the best of their three albums and one of the best things Verlaine has done.
From there I took a listen to their 2nd album "Adventure" and now have moved on again to the pair of albums that Verlaine released in 2006: "Around" (all instrumental) and "Songs and Other Things" (mostly songs, couple of instrumentals). The instrumental album is interesting because you hear Verlaine going in directions that wouldn't work for Television. Coming back to that third Television album, Richard Lloyd gets in some fab solos, and I think maybe I should be checking out some of his own records.
