Television by Television.
14 years after they broke up Television reunited to record a 3rd album. Reunions don't always work, but this one most certainly does, and I find myself pondering that this may be theirs and Tom Verlaine's best recorded work. It doesn't perhaps have the epic highpoints of Marquee Moon but it's a more consistent album in terms of songs and performance. Verlaine has his vocals under better control after all that time, the songs are strong, the twin guitars of Verlaine and Richard Lloyd mesh wonderfully, and the band hardly puts a foot wrong. Verlaine's solo on "Call Mr Lee" has a great sense of drama.

Right now I've listened to "In The Hall Of The Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg performed by Dutch symphonic metal band Epica about 6 times. I love how the song progresses.

Brian Setzer - We Are The Marauders
We are the Marauders
We've come to steal your daughters
We like our booze and our rock 'n' roll
We'll break your heart
And we'll steal your soul
We don't buy that two-bit rap
'Cause American Idol is a bunch of crap
I didn't buy this here guitar
To be a big television star

Well now, yesterday I got my Skin it Back (Little Feat) DVD. So, not listening rather watching and listening. The sound is not so good and I dont know but I dont think it was intended for publication hey but it is wonderful. And you realize that this just has to be about the best band that's ever been.

The Who's Ultimate collection. Townshend's guitars' tone is just something else. Love the track "Bargain", and "won't get fooled again"

For Arjun's birthday... the big three oh... he decided to listen to portishead instead of shawn lane (he thought it would be manly to say it though)...
But he was singing this and I thought i'd share it with you guys.
Portishead "Glory Box"
I'm so tired, of playing
Playing with this bow and arrow
Gonna give my heart away
Leave it to the other girls to play
For I've been a temptress too long
Just. .
Give me a reason to love you
Give me a reason to be ee, a woman
I just wanna be a woman

Ha ha ? Evo..u bugger..how could you. I trusted you. And i only shared those innermost feelings with you...
I'd actually like to be Tal Wilkenfield.
Was listening (actually watching) Beck's performance of Cause we've ended as lovers from Live at Ronnie Scott's a short while, an Tal's bass solo just kills me every time i hear/watch it.
Such control, such emotion..in someone so young, it's truly moving.

Blues cafe - various artist. Musica cheapie that caught the eye because theres a few saffa artists on there, and one of them is Frank Opperman. Thats right, Ouboet from Orkney Snorknie singing the blues... You make me flush, you make me gush, you make me rush, you make a dead man blush...and then he rhymes crawl, tall, fall, small, high, fly, sigh, cry etc. Eish, cringeworthy.:'( At least Dan Patlansky and Albert Frost keep the flag flying high.

yeah, wouldn't mind being with her either. I also pretend to listen when she's playing throughout the whole gig... I usually need a bibb.
