What tune in your playlist/radio are you listening to currently? I'm digging Danzig so far.

I will find you and beat you... ???

On a more guitar related note, there is a song on the new Hendrix called Mr Bad Luck. O my word, what a cool song!!! It has a great groove to it. Valleys of Neptune, is also a very nice track.

killafo

Rory Gallagher Bullfrog blues....... bitchin' attitude in his playing, ?.

Love it...

Classic Rock magazine's accompanied cd. This month the theme is collaboration. Mostly pretty crap, but one song is bloody brilliant: Floyd - Lynyrd Skynyrd feat Rob Zombie. The best way to describe it I reckon would be Swamp Metal, if that makes any sense. If anybody knows the song and know of similar sounding bands, please let me know.

Strange enough Brent

I went on a bit of a GFR craze years ago.
Look out for "Live Album" , they had an energy live that was difficult to capture on record.
'Caught in the Act" not as good but worth listening to!

Also a good compilation album "Mark, Don and Mel"

Geez I wonder if you can still buy this stuff

I really enjoy there music, great tones, classic riffs, just a great listen.

I don't know much about them, but I do know I need to work out that time machine riff tonight ?

That song in particular, and a few others on the album, was written with the help of John 5 (From Rob Zombie).

I'm currently listening to his new solo album, The Art Of Malice. It changes from country & bluegrass the one moment, to rocking metal the next.

So Damn Happy by Loudon Wainwright III.

This is a live album circa 2002. Wainwright is joined by long-time collaborator David Mansfield and various special guests who pop in for a song or two.

Listening to Newton Faulkner. Great talent! :applause:

Love the song called "If this is it"

I'm really enjoying this Nokia "comes with music thing" ?

Jeff Beck Blow by Blow

There's so many good things on this album. Beck deserves credit for the band that he assembled. They really make a very fine racket.

Klaus

I just put on some Dream Theater, The instrumental version of Whither ( one of their new songs ), a truly magnificent piece of work... Check the link for the song on youtube!

Found my Eve 6 cd's at a friends house ?

What a band! Listen to Think Twice!!

Thanks Dee, will look out for it. Somebody also mentioned Drive by Truckers. I think this Swamp rock/metal thing is pretty grand ?

Shoot Out The Lights - Richard and Linda Thompson

This, for me, is one of the most reliable, consistent thrills in music. I've had a copy of this (first casette, then CD) for over 20 years now and I still get a kick out of it. Thompson's playing is imaginative and potent and impressive in the way that solos match the moods of the songs. The guitar on "Did She Jump or Was She Pushed" sounds like it's stalking you from behind and on tip toes.

The killers - Sawdust. Piano version of Sams Town and the two covers of Ruby and Romeo and Juliet stand out.

Bob-Dubery

John Hiatt - Bring The Family

This is one fab record. Recorded quickly, on a small budget and with an all-star cast. Notably Ry Cooder who is in rare form on this album. I'm convinced this is his finest recorded hour. He rocks hard on this one. Great tone and he lays down some really good parts. His introduction on "Alone In The Dark" sends chills up the spine, and he puts a real kick into "Thing Called Love" (the song that Bonnie Raitt later had a hit with) and "Thank You Girl."

Sailing to Philadelphia - Mark Knopfler

Ray

Me also. And Ragpickers Dream which is my favorite Mark Knopfler. Dont really enjoy Get Lucky as much as the others but it's good.
