I know it's irrational, but I reckon we should have a thread where you can post links to guitars you want real bad, and guitars you think are just downright sexy. I'll [obviously] go first.... Its not aGibson or Epiphone but still looks good.

??? Woah. That's photoshopped right, not real, right?!

Explorerlover

Photoshopped I'm afraid... ☹

I found the pic on the Parker Forums....everyone wants a 7 string one on there ?

Here is my "Eye candy" ? and also that which i really want one day

Vintage Tele. I think it's a '57 or somewhere around there

American standard

ok well this n 1950's remake. It would be nice to get an original LP with P90's

I just have a thing for jazz boxes.

Saw this guitar at my local store for R13000 a months back. Went back a week ago and it was R10000. This is a very nice guitar.

One of the classics that doesn't get so much attention:

Chet Atkins Country Gentleman. I just love the name.

And this thread is probably not complete without the guitar advertised as the "ultimate guitar" in 1962. The Gretsch White Falcon:

I wanted to post gretsch also. They are also phenominal guitars

A vintage 1960's Truetone Archtop Electric made by Kay.

I dunno much about the guitar or brand, just that jack white and ryan adams plays it. But it looks cool. 8)

A beauty - the twin fret markers on 3 and 5 are quite cool, I like non-standard but simple markers...

Fender's newly released Classic Player Deluxe Tele's.

aja

I played the top one, with P90's, at Matt's music. Very very nice tone, but it didn't feel so nice to play - the neck felt fat and the guitar just didn't sit right for me, strange since I like fatty necks most times

I can't link the image, cos the whole page comes with somethign I don't want to post, the playboy limited edition...

That's a great looking strat. But her Betty Page is a real sign of the age. Betty Page needed to be slimmed down for the 21st Century to still be attractive? It's a funny old world.

Uuuuuh. Prefer the Playboy one. The JH strat feels too .... for me... my suggestion would be buy a strat and take your own marker to it. I feel quite strongly about this.

That's the late great Ms Monroe... not slimmed down, surprisingly: http://www.marilynmonroe.ca/camera/Playboy/

The Yamaha SVG - coveted by surf guitarists, looked at with raised eyebrows by everyone else. This is their top of the line model:
