Yamah SVG - sheez that's ugly. In fact it's past ugly and almost back to cool again. I think I can understand how that look could grow on someone.

Yeah, I'd have a major problem with that. Also a zero fret on a trem equipped guitar is asking for tuning issues, IMO.

Yeah - friction. I love zero frets because they automatically give you an optimum nut action, but the strings do bind a little on them, especially once they start wearing. That's mostly why they have such a bad rep.

Like the LP Custom Donovan posted a while back, it has that regulation-issue, S.S. Stormtrooper look. It's a good look ?.

I'm never quite sure how I feel about J200s. Sometimes I think they're awesome. Sometimes I think they look like Americans thinking that bigger is always better - over the top. They have a pretty unique sound.

I could like it even more in other colours. Burgundy Mist would be fantastic on this.

I don't see the point. It is basically just a Strat with a single cutaway. Teles with Strat pickups or vice versa or a Tele with Strat contours all make sense, but this doesn't add anything a Strat doesn't already have.
