*Please note: Since I am new to the forum I am still not sure how the forum works. I am implementing the trial and error method. If I post this in the wrong place, please advise me and sorry for any harm done!

I think this is a great ice breaker into the forum and hence let’s begin. I'm 24, single, walks on the beach............(jokes!!) ?

I would not say that I am the best guitarist ever, but I definitely have a passion for guitars (which has cost me a arm and a leg thus far!)

I've been playing guitar on and off for the last 13 years. I started with beginners guitar lessons WAY back and then I discovered Blues. What really attracted me to this genre was the pure freedom and rhythm of the music. Hence I bought my first electric guitar at Cash Crusaders and played it through my PC speaker (I considered myself to be a rock star!) Anyway; moving on.

I went through a dry spell and did not play for about 3 years until I was late in high School. Currently I am playing in a band and really enjoying that same feeling that I discovered with Blues..."it's all about the soul man!"

Equipment that have my fingerprints on them (hence old and sold!)
GUITARS:
Japanese/Cash Crusaders "thing"

AMP:
No name from an electrical shop in George
Fender FM65??
Belhinger Stack (the idiot that sold it to me gave me a 100w head and a 400w cab! Haha!)

EFFECTS:
Zoom 505II Pedal
Rocktron distortion stomp box
Boss Metal Zone 2

Equipment currently in my possesion
GUITARS:
Esp EC100QM
Washburn WT-20??
Epiphone Flying V Goth
Frames Accoustic (got it from a family member)

AMP
Marshall Valvestate II

EFFECTS
Line 6 PODxt

Well that is pretty much it. Let's go!

Welcome, post some pics of your gear when you have the time.
what music do you listen to?

well it differs. I see blues as the beginning of rock and roll and hence I appreciate all forms of rock and roll. However, a personal favorite is metal/alternative. I saw this documentary called Metal: A Headbanger's Journey and man, was it entertaining!

The band I play in gets it's influences from metal and punk/alternative music. We hence describe our genre as "melodic post hardcore". However like a true musician in a band......"our style is so unique, it's difficult to describe!" haha! ?
Welcome to the forum. You will certainly have lotsa fun and more.......... ?

to tell you the truth, I will have to take pics and post them. In my profile pic, you can see my Epiphone Flying V Goth. Got it for a great deal at R2000 approx 4 years ago. A great stage guitar, however not the easiest to move around with when it comes to stage performance. the v can bother you a bit when you when you jump around and go crazy. I hit myself in the jaw once with it. don't ask!
