How many of you guys have heard local artist Wayne Pauli?

Your thoughts? I love most of his music from the Farewell Station Rd album.
He's currently in London doing his thing there with a band called The Stremes.

I particulary love Who and Father off Farewell Station Rd.

Wayne is a great guy, we have gigged together a couple times over the years.

I actually think he is back in town for a bit, or was 2 weeks ago as he played the Barleycorn Festival.

Station Rd is at least 5+ years old now, if not older and still think it sounds great, one of the best records to come out of Paris Studios to be honest, got a great genuine feel to it.

Wayne is a GREAT songwriter and when I grow up one day (never!) I hope to be able to play like him his electric playing it so smooth and subtle.

      Cheers

      Matt
I first heard Who (Can Relate) on the local TV show, Going Nowhere Slowly (which was brilliant btw) and made it my mission to track down his album.

Many months later I stumbled across one in a L&L I think, and bought it straight away. Was surprised to see that this was obviously a limited 'production' run. CD-R with a sticker over it and a hand amended (and coloured) insert. Even so, I treasure it like gold.

Very emotional music, even the up beat Andrea has soul to it.

Confirm that - saw him at Barleycorn, too.

He and the Stremes have a Sunday afternoon run at a pub in the (Cape's) northern suburbs at moment.

Great singer, but insanely talented songwriter.
I think I need to beseech him to come to Jozi for a bit!

Okay some people are seriously in the dark ages. Wayne Pauli is gigging in cape town and heading back to uk in october.

New album out is called Maze of light... and you guys are missing out.

the guys are so on face book, we attend his gigs every week, the fans are crazy growing all the time.

              regards man
He is indeed in the Cape, I was there a month ago and watched him at the Tavern and Ale in Diep River (I even sang "Mary had a little Lamb" with him!!)

He is an incredible talent and possibly the nicest and humblest person on the planet. If you're not already a member, join "The Stremes" fan page on facebook immediately!!!!

I must say, that "Maze of light" is very different to "Farewell station road" although I have both and really dig them...

I was there the night you two sung mary had a little lamb...you're the durbnite. Did Wayne enjoy that evening or what!
