My re-envisioned version of the cover uses both those shapes 🤘 As well as a a maj6 and a handful of dom7's.
Now to find a guitar to record it with. Tempted to get the nylon's back onto the pimpocaster. Perhaps a set of silk n steels to split the diff between steels & nylons.

I think I have something going with a baseline, but every time I go back, I change it..

But you did get a bassline out - save it for a future challenge - who knows I might get my shift into order and be able to slap some chords over it.
