Mind Blown - Rosin + Pen = Violin on guitar.

My mind is blown - alas, I don't have any rosin to try this (yet), but as soon as I do.

Until then, @guidothepimmp & @Wizard - I believe you both have some rosin @ home...!

I did ask Wizard - he tried on his 1/2 size nylon acoustic - "thin & scratchy". was his repsonse I reckon that's from low tension on the guitar he tried. Perhaps best on higher tensioned strings (Steel strings or high tension nylon's). Let us know!

I did google DIY rosin since it'll be impossible to get any (albeit very cheap) store bought stuff for a while. It's a PITA to male, I can find a pine tree, but tapping it for 4-5 days? Umm..no.

guidothepimmp Haha, yes...i DO. So I took a walk today (to the shops, V8 needed coffee and cat needed chicken).

On the walk back I took a slight detour past some pine tree's I know of, eyeing them out for any resin that might have dried from pruning - sadly I spotted none.

What sucks is that I know Wizard has some spare and the Gear Junkies definitely have stock - sheesh - there's even a distributor walking distance from me that has as well...but lOcKdOwN.

Wizard did say he'll construct a trebuchet to fling me some...so there;s hope! 😀
