I'm going to do my darndest to be there. I can definitely get to Centurion, so I'm going to be begging for a lift from there. In the meantime, I'll see which of those I can play with my left claw!

So glad you added LP thanks, we will be there, my bud Tuckster and I that is. Oh and I'll bring a raisin for you Yeti. Where do I find the time and address please?

Right... kid's party done, script complete... and finally had some time to look at some chord sheets. You can find them here.

Please check them out and let me know if there are any mistakes... I'm afraid I haven't had a lot of time to double check them.

On a different note, I'm adding Whisky In The Jar - Metallica to the list because it seems I forgot it when I put the list together.

As usual, we will be playing everything in standard tuning for convenience, so if a song is normally tuned a step down, we'll be playing it a semi-tone higher.

RCVN Thank you, I can get to the Gautrain station easily enough.

Working through Zombie on the Uke, and the Em9/F# doesn't work. I've tried various Em9 voicings and they all sound wrong. Any suggestions on what to use, I hesitate to try Em, because after Em9 it always goes to Em.

slowpoet Em should be fine... or E sus 2. I wouldn't worry about the '/F#', the guitars and bass will pick that up.

Yeti Even the Em sounds wrong (to me) I'll try the sus2

slowpoet you can try a E power chord too... that's what the distorted guitar is playing.

Yeti strangely a lot of sources say repeat Em C G D for the whole song. But i prefer doing it this way. More accurate i presume.

So that Em9/F# comes about because the clean guitar plays it's open chords with the DGBe strings unfretted while the bass line moves so you end up with
            0
            0
            0
            0
            X
            2
.... which is a bit of a mess.
The bass st that point is playing the F# and the distorted guitar an F# power chord.
The D chord would work against the bass line but not against the open chords.

slowpoet whilst it is true that c, g and d are played.. only certain notes are played.

Example.. on the c chord, only the notes on the a and d strings are held down. The b string is not held. Similarly. The g chord. Only the e and a strings are fretted. The others ring open.

I don’t have the knowledge to comment, which is why I asked. The E5 does sound better to an extent.

So just a heads up, I've completely reworked the chords for When We're High. I'm not sure where I got the last set from but they were completely wrong (sorry about that :/) so I've transcribed them from scratch. Please double check and let me know if you find any mistakes.

I've also made minor updates to Black and Creep, but these are a lot more minor. I still have a few new songs to check out but I've run out of time and my poor, out of practice, sissy fingers are begging me to stop.

                  5 days later

For House of the RS I want to try a straight 6/8 rhythm without trying to copy the Animals pattern (which is way beyond me) If it's too fast I'll do the same as last time and hit 2 beats per bar and let them ring.
