I understand from a post on Gregory's Garage on Facebook, that Attila Barath passed away two days ago.

I worked with him in the 'early '90's in the IT- networking field, but only found out later he was a serious guitarist. Amazing guy. he will be missed.

Deepest condolences to his friends and family.

I called Comodex and they confirmed that he collapsed at home yesterday. Sad news. Condolences to his family, colleagues and friends.

@Warren posted on the GT whatsapp group yesterday - sad news, he was one of the good un's.

Really sad to hear this ? RIP and condolences from the Guitar Forum / Talk family.

Very sad indeed. Condolences to family and friends.

Very sorry to hear - met him briefly when he coordinated the group string buy a few years ago

RIP Attila. Helped me with some IT stuff via this forum some years back - just out of kindness.

Attila's friend Gavin Tagg called me this evening and advised that there will be a memorial get together on Wednesday 5th June 2019 from 15h30 at Gerakaris Family Wines, 20 Marlborough Avenue, Craighall Park. I attach the invitation and all the guitar community people are welcome. Gavin had a special request as follows: " Would appreciate it if the guitar guys that he used to jam with would play a few songs". If you are able to, please let me know on Oh-eight-three- for-for-five-three-thousand.

Anyone going to Attila's memorial get together? Any one like to play there?
