Thanks to @Yeti, we've our third challenge of 2019...hiesh...someone win one so he doesn't suggest another one! ?

The Guitar Talk SUPER Challenge!

The theme is month is either Super Cheesy and/or Super Iconic - really open to creative interpretation...

Super Cheesy - Something so generic or overplayed that you normally wouldn't be caught dead trying.
Super Ambitious - Something so advanced or iconic that you normally wouldn't be caught dead trying.

So go crazy, re-do the superman theme tune as djent odyssey, funk up Iron Man (The Black Sabbath version... ?), Make "My Way". your way!

? Entries Close: Sunday, 9th June, 23:59PM

?Rules: Only one rule, no more than three (3) minutes in length. The rest I'm going to leave it open to interpretation - because of the topic, we're gonna have covers - I'm gonna suggest you try to 're-interpret in the style of 'you' (aka Make it your Own)

To encourage more peeps - we'll have two voting groups - One for Home Studio recordings (mutl tracked, etc...) and the other for field recordings (Cellphone recordings or other handheld device).

And yes, vocals are welcome!

Collaborations are strongly encouraged, either with a fellow GuitarTalk member or friends/family/etc...

⁉How To Enter: Record your entry, sign up or log in to SoundCloud, post it there. Then grab the SoundCloud link and reply here with the link pasted in your reply.

?Prizes: The fame and glory of winning a GuitarTalk Challlenge. And the increasingly dubious distinction of choosing the next challenge.

Anyone can enter this competition. You just need a guitar and a phone. But any other recording equipment is fine too.

Damn... nice work Chris. Now i just feel daft for attempting to sing ?.. methinks my track would have benefitted from me keeping quiet ?

Yeti haha.. oh i have some lemons in my recording. Didnt try fix any.. frankly im just relieved i got a few tracks i to a daw.. largely aligned.. maybe for the next one i will actually try figuring the editing out

I've always wanted to play all the guitar parts in this song, so to me it was my gargantuan hurdle to overcome. Forgive the vocals. No deviation on the original - sorry

morph damn.. nice job Morph.. good stuff mate.. if you get a chance id love to hear how you got the guitar to sound so nice.. has an epic vintage feel to it

Fantastic turnout so far!
I'm hoping to get some time to finish mine off this afternoon.

Thanks Guys,

@guidothepimmp, LRBaggs Anthem on my Faith Venus. I replaced the standard pickup. Straight into Focusrite Scarlet 18i8. As clean as possible, slight Compressor and EQ. I am using Reaper.

@Stoffeltoo cool variation on the original, nice and moody
@stud good one

Hokay, here it is.. my first ever attempt at using DAW.. and at singing (bleh)..

I got my Mrs and my boy to do some cameo appearances ? . Trust me to have my first entry when there are so many good entries lol.
*Edit... in case youre wondering where the cheesy lyrics are from.. I misinterpreted the super cheesy requirement and thought we needed some improv.. ?

Oh wow.. so many great entries..
This month is going to be super tough making any sort of choice..

studmissile Dunno what braas plugin youre using but it really gives this song the right vibe. well done indeed. BTW, do I hear a tele on the riff?
