We've precious little off topic discussions (guess they're all on FB these day!)
But if you are a bit of a MMA/Kick boxing fan, ONE FC is live right now with some (haha) killer fights on YT...for free!

Part time fan of Joe Rogan podcasts. If and when he has an interesting guest. It seems Jiu Jitsu is quite thing now. Everybody used to be Kung Fu fighting. But I can't watch MMA as I am far too sensitive - I can only watch people impale others on spikes and things and feed others to dogs, give others acid baths and so on in certain fictional series. The real thing is far too horrific to me. Admire these guys skill , dedication and fitness levels however!

Me too - JRE has a grand variety of guests - though the comedians usually bore me. Brazillian Jiu Jitsu came on strong with the Gracie's from UFC 1 (I'm a looonng time fan), though wrestling seems to be new black - but with anything, the 'new thing' rises, then fades.

Bwhaaha, I'm the exact opposite - can't watch a horror/goryfest - ruins me dreams. But I can still through a pretty much any fighting with much enjoyment - only a handful of time have I been replused by a horrific mismatch - thankfully it's very rare in the MMA/fights I watch.
Hopefully podcasts never fade. Such a nice way of getting info minus all the ads. Realise when I try to listen to local radio! JR - I find the comedians and him together very cringey as I don't like him as a comedian - but he can be very funny on the show.
As for the gruesome stuff. I have them (those classics) saved on an external (ready for the Zombie Apocalypse) and each time I try to rewatch - I can't - too gruesome! But first time around the story was so compulsive - be it GOT or Breaking Bad etc - HAD TO WATCH!
Mismatches argh. What a disaster.
lindsmuse Realise when I try to listen to local radio
Can;t recall the last time I listened to local broadcast radio - it's tragic. There's a few local internet broadcast radio channels that are pretty cool if you're looking for local rock/metal though. The last band I was in got some spins on a few stations - was cool to hear the tracks 'on air' - even if there was about 20 peeps tuned in ?

I've been spoilt with great comedians (Bill Hicks, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Trevor Noah, Eddie Izzard, Frankie Boyle, Dara o' Brian), I kinda got into one or two of Joe's specials, but it seems to be a culture of circle-jerk in that community - everybody likes each other - so the comedy doesn't seem to translate outside of that clique?
GoT, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, UK Sherlock Holmes, The Expanse - All shows I loved, and - co-incidentally - the small handful that help my attention after the first season!
I'd rather watch fights or something information/instructional on YT that sit though some re-hashed stale sitcom/drama/reality b$ that is churned out.
