I kinda had a idea yesterday - a mashup of covers I didn't get around to entering for a challenge a lonnnnggg time ago. Might just dust of and re-do - it's a fun thing to play.

Got it together just in time. My initial attempt ended up a lot more serious than I had intended (might still finish it sometime... but not now) so I put together something fun to sing with my family - sons 4 & 6 plus (very patient) wife.
A couple of lessons...
1) Sleigh bells are hard
2) Working with children is harder ?

Not quite as last minute as usual,...about 3hrs on this one. Ableton was messing around and the bassline disappeared - couldn't fix it in time - grrr.

studmissile cheers man, I enjoyed yours too, it’s got a really cool drive to it.
Amusingly enough, the sleigh bells took the longest, keeping that rhythm consistent was quite a challenge.
Although finding the groove in the bass took some time too.

Great work @Yeti and @studmissile. I have to give you both big up's for getting into the Xmas spirit! I think @Yeti might have Xmas'ed harder...getting the fam into it was a throughly enjoyable masterstroke ?
Yeti Can’t believe that was a 3 hour effort.
...excluding composition - a 2-5-1 progression is a jazz staple (kinda like a 8bar blues). Been working on the feel of that a bit this year - solo was a one take wonder though. What I can't believe is that ableton ate my bassline...bad doggy! ?
