guidothepimmp
I know the feeling! We'll muddle through without you. I'll just have to show you my amp next year. ?
Is there any chance we can borrow your cymbals for the day? I don't think that Nick has been able to get his hands on any yet.
Yeti hey bud.. yeh sure thing.
guidothepimmp Awesome, thanks. Will you be around for me to pick them up on my way to the garage on Saturday or should we make a plan to get it before then?
Anyone got chord sheets for these songs. In E-standard? I'm learning the bass but if I have the chord sheets, I can skip some of the frilly bits and get a bit "tighter" before Saturday. Right now my bass playing on these is a joke ?
NorioDS No way! we expect Down in a Hole and Sweet Child note perfect. ?
I've just been working off these:

Just to confirm. Time on Saturday is 12:00.
But which version of "House of the Rising S"? Because not all versions on the interwebs have the same chord progressions (especially between sung parts) I'm going with The Animals chords (as near as I can get, anymore)
I've been playing the animals version. From memory...
Am C D F
Am C E
Am C D F
Am E Am
Yeti You've illustrated my point very well.
The animals have another section after this - essentially the intro. So it's something like: Am C D F Am C E7 E7 / Am C D F Am E7 / Am C D F Am E7 Am E7. But many sites give something similar to what you've got (perhaps an E at the end). Listen to the Animals version. For what it's worth, I got those chords from Justin Guitar.
And it's E or E7 depending on source.
My uncultured opinion: On the Uke, the E7 sounds much better, but on the guitar, the E works very well.
Be prepared, we may have to go acoustic. There may be some load shedding.
Thanks everyone, that was good fun.
Yeah thanks, that was lekker! Possibly the most fun I've had playing bass so far.
