I’ve got a good intro for my track, trying to keep it simple.
Its a small piece I’ve composed and playing it for a few years,
I never did anything with it until now and its turning out great.
In the end something simple can grow into a masterpiece.

V8 At this rate, I believe you may just have to 'eat' one or other of those sets of words. I have a rhythm bit going and a melody, BUT that's it. Putting the whole bang shoot together and having other noodly parts that bring it all together and make it listenable, there's me problem.

Thinking of just using n-Track on the old iPhone and seeing what happens.

Good luck to all y'all!

I'm skinny enough, I'll chomp both with a side order of dom's entry... ?

Mine will be a single track on a cell phone (hopefully single take too...but we'll see how that transpires). Also looks like I'll be using a different guitar than planned - is all good though, the composition is coming together (or changes daily)

I tried to record some strumming last night... turns out I am not mr metronome hand. ?

I think I'm done with mine... Two tracks, two acoustic guitars (one nylon, and one steel string). I am, however scared to submit already - just in case I want to make last-minute changes. Let's hope it doesn't get to that.

Yeti ... turns out I am not mr metronome hand

Metronomes are evil. THough after playing bass for a good while, they are slightly less evil than I originally thought. ?

I've found practising/playing with a metronome is one of things it takes a few days to get back into.

Trashed my original idea cause i just cant get it sounding the way it sounds in my head. I have not put nearly enough practice time into this.
Started with a new idea yesterday but soon as i start recording, the wheels come off. Why is that??
Ooooii.

Once that red light starts a' flashing...T'is a bonus of the challenges, it's great 'pressure' to test your skills.

More forgiving than a live crowd (though the audience in our collective heads is another story)

I dig the reminder when you see your mates/heroes just consistently play amazing - just how much work that took.

Hey Wern 101, that happens to me a lot and I’ve noticed that when I spend too much time trying too hard to get what I want recording the idea I have in my head I get nothing that fits, taking some time off from recording and the idea all together and doing something else for a while helps me to refresh my brain and give it another go at it later.

I’m also stuck with my track, the problem I have is recording my acoustic guitar with the condenser mic. Its so sensitive to sounds around me, picking up birds, dogs and voices. I must wait until its quiet enough to do it and
if I’m lucky I will enter my track or a piece of it late tonight.
    Good luck to all.

Click your heels and take a journey down the yellow brick road.

My solo (Chord/Melody) arrangement of Over The Rainbow on 7 string acoustic. A rush recording this morning, so warts and all.

Yeti Nice one Yeti!. That's my wife's kinda vibe... I'll be sure to play it for her

Thanks Jazzman105 . I almost didn't post it after I heard yours. ? I've got a lot of practice ahead before I can play like that.

And here is my entry. Trashed everything I tried to do and I decided to enter a song I recorded eons ago. Myself and 3 of the other forum members are currently collaborating on this, hoping to turn it into something grand...

Lots of mistakes and recording issues. Recorded with Stagelight mobile app and tried to clean it up in Reaper. Feedback Welcome.

Gooolllyyyy, all these early bird entries - well done all!!!

I'm way behind it seems - nothing new ?

wern101 I wasn't planning on listening to the whole tune. It seemed long... But then I did cos it drew me in and was easy on the ear. I ended up harmonising with ?

          Nice message!
