My wife and the kids are currently exploring a book about the concepts of drawing and art. The writer of said book said (and i am paraphrasing) 'If you experience a difficult emotion, then go and look for a song that exaggerates that emotion. This will help you deal with it and get over it' (or something along those lines)
I think that 'sci-ency' statement may be a bit of a sweeping one. I do actually feel tension release when I listen to specific genres. If I am angry, I listen to angry music, and it really helps!
But, who am i to argue with the science dudes... ?
