Hope you're all having a rocking week so far!
This weekend I had my first jam in probably years. I know! Crazy ?
Anyway, while @Deaan-Vivier and I were jamming, I finally figured out how to loop on my BR-600 and THAT was fun.
Deaan has a natural knack for rhythm and grooves. So he laid down a sexy bass-line for us and we just looped it and jammed. Way more fun like that.
And the drum tracks that come with the BR-600 are also awesome but I need to figure out how to stitch together the loops. I've watched videos on how to do it but haven't sat down to really play with it and figure it out.
And IMO the LEAST sexy/fun thing you can do during a jam is take out your MacBook to sit and put down a drum track. For me, the less time I spend on a computer during "music time", the better. It's bad enough I need to use them for work!
Moral of the story?
Imagine if we spent more time learning how to get the most out of our gear?... We'd probably be waaaay wealthier GASsers! (Coz we wouldn't buy stuff we don't need! Leaving more money for the toys we do need!)
PS: Here's the thread from when I first bought my BR-600, 7 years ago! Still going strong, I'd say!
