  • Some of my recordings for comments please

Two little ditties done recently. All recorded using band lab and its mixing tool.
Both stories are pretty personal with the loss of someone and the longing to a place that influenced me in my youth.

Hi Stoffeltoo. You are truly a story-teller! I think you are a little overloaded with responsibility on these recordings.

I suggest recording at least the vocal separately. This will free up a lot of "RAM" to relax and concentrate on a polished vocal performance. The best of the best don't sound as good on stage as they do in studio... and there's a reason for it.
      Hi Jazzman

Thanks for the pointers and it was exactly what I done in my blues competition entry.
I must also admit that singing without my guitar in hand was pretty daunting as I use my instrument as a vocal crutch

Anytime man! I can relate to that more than you know. ?
i like it, except the vocal mix is to muddy, i can not actually hear the words you are singing.

but well done to you for putting it out there.. if you can remix and lay down the vocals more clearly so we can hear the words, i would love to hear it.
I always enjoy your melodies Chris and solid playing, but vocals get a little lost especially in the mix of stillbaai. If you can remix I'd push them up. Thanks for share, but rather set up a soundcloud streaming page for your songs?
Hey man... Good stuff. There's an echo in here though : "VOX up".
