hey stof. does that translate to 'drums count as a track'?
Hi Dom. Yes it does unless you can do some beat boxing. That would count as vocals ?

Sho-o-o-o. Gigging season is picking up and I still have to go out of country on a work related errand. Hope I am going to get my entry in, on time.
Got an idea but that is where it is, an idea....
This must be one of the fastest entries to a GFSA competition yet! Thanks Voodoo! Received!

            ?

Having two little rugrats around the house I rarely get time to record anything, but this past weekend I got a break and made it count ?

Looking forward to hear the other entries!

Anybody help me with Audacity to MP3? Or can I send WAV files?

to easily convert WAV files to MP3s if you're on a mac: https://all2mp3.en.softonic.com/mac.
                  for windows: https://www.tresrrr.com/products-for-windows/all2mp3-for-windows/.
                  not sure about linux.
otherwise there are plenty of online wav-mp3 converters.
if the above is the tut on installing and using the LAME lib (looks like it is), then for Audacity it really should be all you need.

                  good luck

Thanks guys, but I seem to be unable to reach the LAME site, and my antivirus complains when I try the tesrrr thing...

I'm no musician, but I am having much too much fun to drop this now, and I am also learning a lot. Too bad about the Forum rules, I might end up with a too-long song, with way too many instruments, but, well, this is for my enjoyment too. Crash course, but enlightening.

I have learned one cannot do this the right way without good equipment, that the guitar sounds horrible through the laptop mike and speakers. I am also vindicated in my stance that a regular job in the sun, working for a boss, is much easier than making music. Music is way too much work.
Update: Right after the previous post, I tried again, and found another route to the site. I can now export to MP3. All I need now is to make the right sort of sounds...
Hi Jazzman105. Thanks received and put in the comp file

Haha, I never was that kid in school, but I guess with music I'm a bit of a teacher's pet ?
First collaboration entry received. Saved and stored. Thanks RobbieZ

That sounds exciting. For the sake of my understanding... are collabo's allowed among Forum members only, or can we collaborate with non-forum members?
Schucks never had that question before but I suppose if you have a band, that counts and prolly pumps you straight up to advanced.
Most of the collabs have been amongst forum members maybe some of the previous moderators can share some wisdom?
