I haven't been on here for a while but got lots of good advice and help here and was wondering if any kind soul can help me find / source this damn thing. I am the guilty party who successfully managed to short or create and arc or something on a power adapter - by not using the switch but pulling the plug out - and not completely - of a lead. But this is the plug of a very powerful LED studio light. The thing is the power adapter is now knackered and I have to buy another one and I just can't find one online!

Here are the specs:

AC/DC ADapter Input: 100-240V
AC ~ 50/60Hz Output: DC 13.5V - 5A

The problem is the 13.5V output ....

☹

Please if anyone know where I can get this I would be most appreciative!
    EIsh...

Only person I can think of is Graham at the Gear Junkie - he's had to source/make all kinds of weird and wonderful things.
Thanks Meron - duly noted - we are trying out a connection we have in the lighting business at the moment -will try your source if we don't come right.

I assume you're meaning one of those black enclosed ones though? However, the above will work and you can just connect a cable to it to your light. Even cut the cable off the broken one, so the fitting is still right.

I may even have one at home (well, at my parents home, my dad has LOTS of P/S), if you don't come right by Sat, shoot me a PM and I'll go digging when I'm there.
Thanks for your kind offer Paul! We will know by Thursday if we can get a new one somehow made up or imported or however it's coming our way. I will let you know either way.
            Hi Lindi,

            try Hamrads in Milnerton.

your issue is the 5amps for the studio lights, and they do have. i know, i bought from there.

the Dowa power supplies units will work for you.

            ciao

That's where they moved to...Thanks Stephen, thats very useful to know!
Thanks Stephen. Will give them a call as well (if we don't come right)
Well this has become very complicated and there so many different types of adapters it's scary. Anyway it turns out we got one at Yebo - we could've gotten at Hamrads - thanks Stephen - Yebo just closer. On opening that power adapter, PSU says DC is 12V - the casing said 13.5V and the studio light says 14.8V - oh yes. Apparently this is all ok except now for the little pluggie thingie (jack?) has to be 2.1 or 2.5 mm and isn't. More adapting for the adapter. R450 - quite hefty I would say (from within the depths of the dogbox)
