I have been learning to play guitar recently and have received a guitar from my granddad. I have searched the internet all over looking for this brand but cannot find it, so i came here hoping someone would know it. Thanks in advance.

      Welcome,

Is there a well lighted pic of the soundhole? Usually there's a sticker/label in there, though I think in this case it probably won't help much.

The brand name "Taylor's" reminds me of the 70's, when so many copies were made in Japan. Probably a copy of a legit "Taylor" design, but it's odd that it's a classical. Couldn't imagine which model they were intending on reproducing. Doesn't mean it's a cheap guitar though, if it plays sweetly and sounds good - it is good!

I spotted this : https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-musical-instruments/tableview/japanese-made-parlour-guitar/1001987634670910213048609. This fellow does deal a bit in guitars and if he can't much info on them, then it'll be quite a trawl of google to find some info.

        Thank you very much.

It has no info on he inside of the guitar. And as its so old i don`t think there ever was.
it sounds really nice though some people at music shops have asked me if they could buy it from me.

The search continues. but for now ill assume its a knockoff Taylor brand guitar from Japan.

I'm far from a expert - but I do like finding obscure things that sound/feel good. And 60/70's japanese stuff is obscure, usually one factory producing under a multitude of brands for various markets. I dig it, there's the occasional gem for the finding.

It's always a good sign when guys make offer's on something unknown - a sign that it's got mojo 8)

You can check the top (Is it a solid top or laminate - betting on a laminate) and then google for guitars with a similar headstock and body shape/size. It'll be a bit of search, perhaps fruitless, but half the fun is looking :?
Hello and welcome to the nuthouse!
Hope you enjoy your stay here!
              I doubt it's a knock off of a Taylor from the 70s.
Taylor guitars was only founded in 1974.

I am pretty sure this is just one of many solid-topped nylon string guitars made in Japan.
They tend to be really nice guitars

yup, and only really started distribution after a few years. i agree with meron - it's probably just the mojo factor, unless there's something the experts are seeing that we ain't. still, don't go dissing mojo. that shizzle counts for puh-lenty in these here woods.

welcome son. sit 'n chew some
