Been promising myself on of these 2nd hand for a while now (if the price was right). Was a bit skeptical at first, but boy oh boy, what fun!

Even shorter than the Mustang/JagStang (24in), I saw one recently for sale, was tempted - especially since almost all the strat parts (neck aside) should fit. Hardtail too, I'd say this would make a great project guitar and because of the unique scale, it wouldn't be difficult to sell on either. Shorter scales are not that easy to find locally. The Mini is the 3/4-size version (22.75" scale length) of the Bullet

Is there a price difference between the gotoh version and the fender (ping branded) bits?studmissile wrote: Upgraded the Tuners.
Warning, I got fender replacement vintage tuners, and discovered that they no longer gotoh made, fender seems to have them made by Ping. They seem good enough ( a lot better than what was on there) , but not as nice as gotohs.
I find myself getting more, and more disappointing in "Official Fender Replacement Parts"
+1 for your junkie style!studmissile wrote: I picked up my replacement 2nd hand.
Gotohs are $40 Stewmac.
Fender Pings $36 Amazon.

Thanks stud, that's good info - gotoh's would be worth the 4$ extra.
I got some gotoh 510's on my MIJ - a real pleasure to use.
Thanks, jut not sure if they gotoh, and the Wilkinson are also oem'd at Ping.Fortunately I do have an old set of vintage gotohs. For those who don't know Gotoh have a JAPAN stamp on them, Pings have a PW on them. Shaft is slightly bigger on the the gotoh.Norman86 wrote: check guitarfetish too...
Stewmac are expensive.
