Been promising myself on of these 2nd hand for a while now (if the price was right). Was a bit skeptical at first, but boy oh boy, what fun!

brilliance. Is the neck much smaller
Yeah, I think 40.something mm at the nut, a little congested, but still quite substantial.

      This is what sold me.

good stuff. All I need is the neck pickup ?
        Really sounds and looks good
Shorter scale as well? Reason for asking, I count only 20 frets

            yip, 20 frets
              Nice one Stud!

I approve heartily of 'em shorter scale vibes :yup:

The Mini is the 3/4-size version (22.75" scale length) of the Bullet
Even shorter than the Mustang/JagStang (24in), I saw one recently for sale, was tempted - especially since almost all the strat parts (neck aside) should fit. Hardtail too, I'd say this would make a great project guitar and because of the unique scale, it wouldn't be difficult to sell on either. Shorter scales are not that easy to find locally.

              Great buy!

Would love to see a pic of this next to a "standard" guitar so I can get a better idea of the scale.
Comparison with a Tokai Breezy, the mini is light but solid. The body is definitely smaller than a standard strat. New they seem to retail at 130 Euro, so it might be an option worth exploring whilst in Portugal Norio? (Even better if you find one 2ndhand). The tuners are the only thing worth upgrading, other than that its Squier affinity/bullet quality. But as is, it's great just as a knock around travel guitar to keep those idle or itchy fingers going.

                    Upgraded the Tuners.

Warning, I got fender replacement vintage tuners, and discovered that they no longer gotoh made, fender seems to have them made by Ping. They seem good enough ( a lot better than what was on there) , but not as nice as gotohs.

I find myself getting more, and more disappointing in "Official Fender Replacement Parts"

Is there a price difference between the gotoh version and the fender (ping branded) bits?

Finally got to try a Squire mini the other day...it's sooooo small! Although, anything under 25.5in feels small to me now after hacking away on a 34in 5 string bass for 2mths. One bonus to playing a lot of bass is that your hands/forearms get really strong, so you boss around guitars like never before 8)

I picked up my replacement 2nd hand.

                        Gotohs are $40 Stewmac.
                        Fender Pings $36 Amazon.

                          +1 for your junkie style!

Thanks stud, that's good info - gotoh's would be worth the 4$ extra.

I got some gotoh 510's on my MIJ - a real pleasure to use.

                            110% junkie these days!

                            Beautiful, those 510 are amazing!

Up until a year or 2 the vintage style tuners on Fender Replacements were Gotohs? It makes me wonder what are actually going on AVRIs? Are they Pings now? I picked up a Fender Replacement Vintage Bridge and it was so poorly made I had to sell it on. Even the Ashtray cover wouldn't fit on it?
                              check guitarfetish too...
                              Stewmac are expensive.

Thanks, jut not sure if they gotoh, and the Wilkinson are also oem'd at Ping.Fortunately I do have an old set of vintage gotohs. For those who don't know Gotoh have a JAPAN stamp on them, Pings have a PW on them. Shaft is slightly bigger on the the gotoh.
