I dig your submission Alan -- very cool. Covers a lot of different guitar sounds. Awesome stuff ?
Thanks! Mostly Sanox, aside from the rhythm solo which is the partscaster. Lots of different amp emulations though.

Oooh and it's got a neat Iron Maiden kinda thing going for it towards the end. That earns you even more points ?
Exactly! I had
Flash of the Blade from
Powerslave in mind. Also the harmonies - more (bad) Thin Lizzy than (bad) Brian May.

Hey Alan, I did like your backing track I just couldn't get the changes ?
Ya, well.. bassists... ;D Seriously though, I liked yours too. You should do a backing mix with drums and bass and the fingerpicked nylon.
I suggest let people choose whatever backing they prefer (including thier own).
Yeah. I second that. I took some time to do a backing track and the submission, but time limitations will force me to drop out if I have to do it again with another backing (even my own). Letting people use whatever backing they want to opens it up and lets people find or create whatever they need to be comfortable in. Reducing it to one that everyone must use will disadvantage those who have a specific style. So supplied backings only as an option for those who want to use them.
they can't blame it all on a bad mix like the earlier posters can ;D
LOL! Yeah - that's me. I could spend the next few years tweaking and re-recording, but I thought this post from Sepheritoh:
Don’t ever let “great” get in the way of “good.”. That describes my normal tendencies perfectly.
