NorioDS · 2008-02-14T20:55:05+00:00

This forum needs a theme song. It's going to be placed as a prominent link in the header so that everyone who visits us can give it a listen and we'll change it every now and again. Main ingredients: Guitar! Bass Drums Everything else is optional and the above isn't set in stone, as long as it sounds good, it will be considered! Start recording! (old forum) Poll Results: GuitarForum's Theme Song... Andrew's "Guitar Forum Sampler: 5 Rene's Solo (Originally for the Collaboration): 1 Sepheritoh's "SA Guitar Forum Theme": 0 Gareths "Lil Idea" (Originally for the Collaboration): 0 Alan's "Dense Wall of Guitars": 6

NorioDS

Nope, would you prefer that? I can set one up.

Deaan-Vivier

Yip, it would be much easier to vote and count the votes if there is a poll set up.

NorioDS

I'm snowed under, will someone do this for me? Francis? Alan?

Need someone to collate the entries and then create the poll.

AlanRatcliffe

Running around like the proverbial headless chicken myself at the mo...

NorioDS

OK, I had a gap so I did it a coupla minutes ago. Did I leave anyone out? I decided to include Collab submissions as well as I think they were pretty damn neat as well as complete enough to make for a theme song.

Vote!

NorioDS

Right now we're sitting with a tie between Andrew's and Alan's entries.

If you haven't voted yet, please vote now. I'm announcing the winner this coming Tuesday!

(I found an awesome little MP3 player so the time is now! Vote ?)

Here they are again:

(I hope all the links still work!)

so VOTE already! ;D

Gray

Who won? ???

NorioDS

Thanks for reminding me of this, Gray. Totally forgot about it!

I've closed voting and the winner by ONE vote is...

Alan Ratcliffe! Alan's "Dense Wall of Guitars" wins, although it was a very close match between Alan and Andrew.

I'll be posting the theme song on the header of the forum soon so we can all listen to it once in a while ?

Congrats to Alan ?

FatBoy

I was the last voter! Hehehe

AlanRatcliffe

Fritz Brand wrote I was the last voter! Hehehe

Your cheque is in the post ?

I'd like to thank my wife and family, my parents for putting up with all the noise, and the fans... ?

I still preferred Andrew's entry. Just took a listen to mine again and kinda cringed.

FatBoy

Hahaha I'll take that Baja tele instead? Nah dude I like your entry! Andrew's is awesome too, but ya not my kinda sound

andrewjbryson

HAHA , Alan you are the champ!

And I got a sexy BAJA Tele waitin for me in my room ?

Ok , so now how about a country theme song

AlanRatcliffe

Thanks guys

Fritz, you'll have to fight Andrew for the Baja. After I built the Tele/Strat hybrid, I realised I wouldn't play the Baja much anymore, so Andrew nabbed it from me (I hate good guitars being neglected). Last I heard he was too busy playing it to post much </subtle_dig>

FatBoy

Dang! Last time I vote for you sir! Haha. How much does one of those babies go for new? Just so that I know how far away I am from owning one?

AlanRatcliffe

Retail price is R9K last time I looked, which is pretty amazing for what it is. Street price should be about R7,650.

FatBoy

Ok I dont want to hijack this thread completely, but what is the difference between retails and street? What is street price?

AlanRatcliffe

Retail is the reccommended selling price as set by the distributor - the "ticket price" as it were. The street price is what you can expect to actually pay for it - usually after about 15% discount (if you don't get 15% you should easily be able to push for it).

NorioDS

Congrats again, Alan ?

It's official!!! We have a theme song! Check it out (as if you could miss it ?)
