NB: You can still buy the Yamaha Pacifica 112 new in SA. This guitar has always punched well above its weight. It's famous for it, in fact.

Better still, pick one up 2nd hand and use the savings to upgrade parts. It's the existence of guitars like this that makes me anti Squiers. They cost the same or more, but simply don't deliver this kind of quality. A name on a headstock does not make up for that.
