Yeah I think I overdid it because it was a new toy to play with ?
Well it adds a degree of whimsicalness. Haven't hear polly wiggle in ages!
    some fun was had?
    Studmissile - wow!
    Liked Norio and Stoffeltoo's entries
Lots of entries = good thing
Haha, nicely done fellas. Norio's was my top pick.

        Thanks Adrian.
Man, this was great fun. Well done to all the participants and thank you for great entertainment.
As was said during my introspection gripe, I learnt more during the preparation for this compo than any other time.
          Stud's the boss!
          Norio, man I wish....! Excellent
Lu, Simply great and I am glad I did not learn this version at school.

            BAAAAA!
Awesome turnout, such fun these mini challenges! Always an incentive to practice!

              Lu22. Cool interpretation!

Iain Rossouw, Unique choice, nicely executed!

V8, Merrily merrily, merrily merrily, very clever, great playing!

Norio. Great of you to join us! Stand out for me!

Stoffeltoo. Refreshing to hear some nylon, lovely stuff..... what silences btw?

well done to all and good luck
also could'nt agree more with everyone else, well done to everyone on the entries. you guys don't mess around hey ? . really puts someone like me to shame who has yet to still enter a competition this year. am really interested to see who's going to end up taking home the oscar, lol.
Voting was interesting this month - the 2nd listen made me think!

Hansie : Dig it, metal kids everywhere approve!
Iainrossouw : Like the chord approach to the rhyme, easy to recognize
                  Lu22 : A fav, had a punk/core vibe that just worked.
Norio : A fav, especially the "um pah" chorus. That rocked with the panning!
Stoffeltoo : a fav, the performance got me - nicely played! Not sure what ya meant about silences, nothing sounded awkward to me?
Studmissile : Loved it at first, smooth playing & the way you sang 'tonker' - classic! But the vote made me think my other choices were more nursery rhyme - this had a more C&W esque vibe to my ears?
Hasie wrote: V8, I tried to, but could not hear Row in that tune. The playing is excellent though.
Thanks - yeah...rusty hands, the RH was missing the triplets I was trying to play on the melody notes. Felt more like hacking trees than playing guitars ?
Well, everyone has said everything so I am just going to say well done. Metal to country and back. Guess one has to judge on creativity in the case of these entries. Funny how unique a different approach renders on the practical side of things. 8)
                      Woohoo! I'm a weiner ?

For those who enjoyed my entry, you can listen to the original version (with drums courtesy of my BR-600), on SoundCloud:

I recorded it with drums to help "remind" myself of the feel I was going for and to help with timing. I then silenced the rhythm track to get the 2-track version you heard in my entry.

Man I love my BR-600! It's sad that I've only really started using it properly now!

                        And buying us Cheeekeen Dinners!

                        Well done all!
                          :applause:
                          Congrats on the wein Norio.

Still, I believe everyone fulfilled the purpose of this challenge and it was great fun. I cant wait for the next one.
Well done Noria and all. Great Mini Challenge!
Well Norio if you can think of a challenge, hit me up. But it will only take place next month, so take your time in deciding.
Congratulations Norio. A well deserved win.
                                  Here's some options:

                                  - Spring theme. (Yay!)
                                  - Guitar ballad.
                                  - Egyptian theme. (Phrygian Dominant, anyone? ?)
                                  - Indian theme.
                                  - Greek theme.
                                  - Portuguese theme.
                                  - Spanish theme.

Okay ^^^ lots to choose from. Reply with what competition YOU want to enter next month.

I recommend choosing something you feel you can easily win so that you actually enter ?
                                    Hola Señor. Elijo español. 8)

Well, not easily win it, but I will be able to enter.
                                      Congrats Norio!
Well its prolly the aspiration of every guitarist to want to do a Spanish/flamenco type piece. So yeah! I'm in.
