Don't waste money on bullet strats. Honestly. Get a second hand Cort or something rather.
Sort of expensive, I'd say. I've got a guy who delivers firewood to my door in a bakkie and it's much cheaper.
      sold out anyway....

1299 is a good price though...lets face facts ...guitar may be a lower end and one could do better buying second hand but that was a good price

Its only a good price if you never replace it with an actual guitar. But in reality, just like cars and houses, the total cost of ownership includes other, hidden, expenses. In this case it is the throwing away of it and buying a guitar.
I'm not a headstock snob by any means (love both of my Squiers) but I was taken aback by how much the bullet feels like a toy when compared to a Fender.

It's sorta the other way around. People favour Squiers because of the "by Fender" on the headstock, when they've produced precious few guitars that even begin to justify their popularity. As I've mentioned. Everyone tells me they've played good Squiers. But I've never seen one of these mythical beasts. And Bullet Squiers are clearly inferior to the majority of budget Strats. They'd have sunk without trace but for the "by Fender" bamboozling beginners.

Edit: And it doesn't have to be that way economically. I've never played a Squier that compared to an MIM Fender at all. But many other budget Strats have (Pacifica 212s being an obvious example - if not a true Strat copy).
