Guitar: Wedgwood

Hello there!

I bought a Guitar yesterday for R1500. I am an absolute beginner, so I was looking for a cheap starter set. My Guitar is made by "Wedgwood" - I tried to google this make but can only find ceramics and porcelain goods originating from China.
Is this a known Brand?

First I've heard of it. A quick google shows a few listings in SA, even one in EVH paint.

From the pic, it be quite similar to one of those kit guitars in finished form? Could even be a generic chinese copy re-branded locally?

I actually just visited a store in Bellville for the first time this morning, as I was out that way for work, and they stocked Wedgewood guitars.
Also had a super-sweet Redwood strat, which, apart from some dings and dents (caused no doubt by redwood being soft and people being careless) it was plain stunning
