Well it's made in the Shibuya Gakki factory which is Ibanez' top tier, Prestiges are made in the Fujiken Gakki factory, and that's the MSRP, street price is more like $6000 and for a niche instrument like this that's kinda normal. I haven't played the M8M but I have a feeling that the price is more to do with the name behind it.
