I'm afraid the time has come for me to leave GFSA and move on with something else. So as of this Saturday the 1st of November I will no longer be involved in the forum as partner, admin or member. My profile will remain active for a year, but I won't be around.

Please note that this is entirely my decision and has not been brought about by any falling out, argument or intrigue. There's no "bad guy", no-one to blame - just a sense that I must move on, grow and progress, both as a player and a person. I've still got a lot to learn and achieve and only a limited time to do it.

Thanks to everyone for the last seven years (to the day) - I've made some good friends here, a lot of contacts and had a lot of fun.

For those of you who have my contact details, feel free to use them. Also feel free to friend me on Facebook if you want to follow what I get up to in future (although I'm not a huge Facebook user) or get in contact with me for any reason. I'm sure I will have other projects of interest to musicians in the future - that's in my nature.
I remember when I first asked Alan to join the forum. I felt like a little fanboi. I was literally asking the guy who wrote the book on electric guitars to join my tiny little forum.

And when he said yes, I was so excited! And rightly so.

Over the next 7 years, he added so much value to this forum and kept it running smoothly. Oftentimes when I was unable to even look at the forum, Alan was there taking good care of it.

It's sad to see the end of this era but, Alan, I think your hard work over the years will help keep the spirit of learning, sharing and growing alive in this forum, even when you're not around to share your wisdom with us.

Thanks for all the years of work you've put in.

I wish you all of the best for the future and sincerely hope that you achieve every goal you have set out for yourself.
Good luck with your endevours Allan, have a blast.

      :goodtimes:

Thank you Alan. I think you taught most of us more than we realize and far more than can be expected to learn for free! ? (And not just about guitars hey...)

Will you at least keep your website running?
Thanks Alan and Norio for creating a mighty fine forum. It really is a treasure trove of information, connections etc. And WAY too much GAS induction. ?
