I haven't told mommy about this one yet ???

I needed a simple bass guitar and amp purely for home recording via my Scarlett 18i6 which has two DI interfaces. I settled on Cort Action bass, but then there was a question about amp. I like Roland and naturally had a look at the Cube Bass 20X, but Greg at Bothners advised me to compare it to the Laney RB2. The RB2 is 30W compared to the Cube 20, has a 10" speaker compared to a 8" and has a DI output for recording. The Roland has more features with amp models and effects. After listening to the two amps the Laney came out tops for me, nicer tone and a punchier sound and with that interface is all I need. Effects I can add on the DAW

Now,......Love would you like a cup of tea? :-[ ?
    Congrats! :applause:
The Laney bass amps kick lots of ass.
    Very versatile.
The best thing is this whole lot cost me R4600 brand new.

          Congrats on the new toy!

Something that helps with left hand fatigue is to use 1-2-4 pivot fingering instead of one finger per fret. A lot of people get away with guitar-style left hand technique, but 1-2-4 is what most upright bass players use. this video goes through the two options:
