Thanks Alan. That's interesting about the white writing on black background.... I usually find it much easier to read than the other way around as there is not as much glare from the screen.
That's usually from having a high monitor contrast and/or too dark a room. Your eyes adjust to the dark and then the white screen seems glaringly bright.
I guess the site is there to 'market' me, so I should have some form of 'previous work' catalogue and/or 'available for' catagories,
Exactly. Otherwise why do you have a site? A site without a purpose is nothing more than a vainglorious edifice of ego. Put yourself in your visitor's shoes and ask yourself why they will be at your site and what will they want to get from it and work from there.
Thanks for the offer for space.
As long as you don't need too much. ? I can easily spare enough for a respectable WordPress (or other blog/CMS driven site for a friend. All the tools you'll need are preinstalled or available to install from the control panel. Means registering a domain and learning a bit to run the site, but nothing heavy and little to no coding. If it starts to get big or busy, well, by then you should be making some money off it and we can talk...
Its kind of a weird phase in my musicianhood that I find myself in at present, where I can't call myself a pro, but there's too much water under the bridge to be an amateur. ?
I'm familiar with that one. ?
