Pretty good, but I don't see why the need for the side compartments - there's more than enough space to run wiring under the board and they'll add a lot of weight.

Speaking of under-board wiring, it doesn't look like the bottom detaches, so wiring things up will be a cow.

    Hmm, good point!
I could see the side compartments being useful if you have extremely limited space in the van and can't carry a gig bag full of cables, spares etc. (if you drive an Indica as a band car), but agree on the weight factor. Same for wiring access. Been designing a new board for myself (will post pics when constuction starts) and first considered using a piano lid hinge and catches to allow me to lift the board up when needed, but that's just over-engineering for the sake of it. How often are you likely to have a well-sorted board give that kind of major trouble, especially if you've checked everything before the gig? I'd rather just go with a few well-placed screws (removable with an electric screwdriver in seconds).

That tweedy look does still rock.
I can imagine those side panels being in the way, for my top row of pedals I have to stomp them from the side sometimes not to step on the front row. Also a waste of space, Id rather somehow attach the sides to the lid so they come off when open.

        Yip, tweed rocks!
