Some of you, especially if you played on one of my bills at TJ's, would have met Fingerpicker (real name Bill) in the flesh. He was an unassuming and generous man who did a lot for TJ's at a time when that club was in a bad state.

Bill passed away last night, with his family around him.

There will be more announcements, a eulogy and a minute's silence at open mic night on Thursday.
☹ Bill H, who used to live and work in Cape Town (Southern Music, Bothner's Plumstead), I presume? A friend of his who lives in Napier dropped by the other day to tell me he was seriously ill.

    RIP Fingerpicker.

Alan, I can't say if it's the same Bill, and I can't verify right now. I do know that Fingerpicker once worked for Coca Cola. [Edit]In fact he was there for some time. He was due the traditional gold watch at one point, but talked them into buying him a custom Larrivee instead.
Such sad news, Bill was a great guy.
