Seems like the CAE-00 serial number guitars where part of the strat packs which where sold with a small 10watt amp in the day.

General feeling seems as though they are better than the affinity's and the bullets and great for modding.

They say it could be a good player if setup properly.

This is just info I got from a google search, so I could wrong.

But it looks like a cool guitar dude, congrats!

Thanks dude ? I did a google search as well. Seems its something called a Squier SE Strat. Never heard of them before ?
but from what I've read they're solid agathis bodied ? only thing I'm not too chuffed about are the ceramic block magnet pickups...

Now the question is... Do I leave it stock with the crappy pickups for a while or do I stick those two HOT Duncan Designed single coils i have laying around in it with the DD Detonator (SD Invader clone) in the bridge?

Congrats! Happens to the best of us.

...and I mean the best of us... ?
        Cool!

And obviously when you restring it, wind the strings around the tuners the other way so they are straight ...

          +1 ?
Possibly the worst string job I have ever seen. The strings are meant to go on the inside of the posts. The posts turn anticlockwise ?

Yeah, and the worst thing is that was AFTER Chocklit changed the strings..........

Hahaha.... Since when does Chocklit change strings?? ? Nah that's how I got it... Whoever set it up did a good job on the action though! it's incredibly low and plays nicely! I stuck some 9's on it and adjusted the Truss rod a tad and now it plays like butter

Thanks guys ? I've been playing around on it and (Sorry Ice-cream man...) I'm loving it! ? Even with the generic ceramic pickups I can go from Sultans of swing to some Mayer to Jimi and Stevie ? I think that with a few mods, this thing can be a monster guitar! And to think I payed R650 for it! ?

I've seen worse... at least this dude cocked it up consistently. You ever tried to tune a single sided headstock where you have to turn some of the pegs the opposite direction to the others? ?
Wow, whoever put the strings on that sure knew what they were doing !!! ?
Should be a nice guitar to mod. Well done !!!
