Nobody likes me anymore ☹ Not even Chatbot! :'(

There definitely is a problem. I think it may relate to IP address somehow (sometimes claims the user's IP has changed).
I'm moving this topic to Site Feedback for action from Norio. More chance he sees it there.

Hey guys ?
Saw this topic earlier as well and kept it open to comment on but then got distracted. The best I can offer is, "I'll look into it." -- the chat program we're using is being used by a number of other sites so if this is a common problem, we'll be able to find a fix for it. In the meanwhile, please hang in there.
Alan, you're probably right about the IP thing but I'll see if I can get around it.

You beat me to it. ?
I looked at the forum for the chat 'ware and it does happen to others. I didn't have time to check it out in depth, but the general consensus was "installation corrupt. Reinstall".

may i suggest running one of the freely avaible IRC servers , with a embeded Java chat program , which are also freely avaible .
Rudolf
I'm also for one of the other freely available chat programs with the Java thing. The current chat programs fraid to say is quite a data hog as well, pretty bad when you're like me running on a small capped broadband connection at home. Normal Java chats would maybe use 200kb being logged on 5 hours when the current GFSA chat consumes at least 5mb.

I would like an IRC server as well, you can either use it via a java web interface, or my using an IRC client, the latter being my preference.
