Someone on this forum suggested that the goods might be fake. How can the goods be fake? The guarantees are all covered by the relevant importing agents, the guarantee forms are posted by the customer to the respective importing agents. (Seriously, where would retailer find an importer of fake musical goods??? Also there is a consumer act in place to protect both the supplier and the consumers.
Actually, there have been online stores selling fakes recently - Chinese web sites selling fake "Gibsons", "Fenders" and "Sure" mics for too-good-to-be-true prices. Online classifieds like Gumtree and Junkmail have also had many individuals reselling these fakes as originals and feigning ignorance. So much so that we have a long running Fraud Warning thread for those sites.
There was even an individual who registered a .co.za domain and set up an online store, listing items at very good prices. Closer inspection revealed the guy involved was New Zealand based, was running exactly the same shop/stock listings under a dozen different country's domain extensions and that he had a history of non-delivery and numerous fraud cases against him in NZ and OZ.
In the latter case, someone asked here about the store and was steered safely away to another, reputable local online dealer. Had they bought from this online store, the CPA or SAPS would not have been able to protect the buyer or get the money back.
So yeah... given the above cases it's perfectly understandable that someone will ask if an unknown online dealer is legit or not. And also perfectly understandable if many simply prefer not to take a risk and assume that a dodgy looking site equates to a dodgy business. I myself first ran across Skysun.co.za 5 or 6 years ago and even then, the site looked outdated and bad - and it influenced my decision not to buy from them.

If you dont want to buy from a shop, just dont buy.
If you want to buy, but have reservations then ask the business, and if still not satisfied, then just dont buy.!!
But to make public to hundreds of people your decision and publically humiliate a person casting doubt on his reputation, just because you dont want to buy?
See dodgy practices enumerated above. Online buyers can and do talk between themselves and share y'know... and everyone is entitled to an opinion.
Mike Irwin/Skysun did the right thing by stepping up and saying Skysun was his. That, coupled with satisfied buyers who are forum members of long-standing also chiming in gives the OP enough information to answer their original question and decide whether they wanted to buy from the store or not.
Actually, your
first post rant from behind an
anonymous server has probably done more damage to Skysun than the few negative posts from established forum members above.
